The
Tracy Dry Bean Festival is an annual event that is held in September and is sponsored by the Tracy, California Chamber of Commerce.  It is a great way to spend time with the family and to enjoy all that Tracy has to offer.

The Grand Theatre is located at the corner of Central Avenue and Seventh Street and was  constructed in 1900.  It opened in 1923 as a vaudeville theatre and the centerpiece of downtown Tracy and today is a main attraction of Tracy.  The Grand Theatre offers classes, tour and continues to be a leading entertainment center for plays.

Parks and Recreation
252 acres of developed parks and open areas are available to Tracy residents and visitors. This is part of the Tracy Park System and is designed for public enjoyment and recreation. Tracy offers visitors and residents a year-round destination for fun. All ages, levels, and physical abilities have been included in the planning of recreational facilities and programs. We offer a many recreational services for our residents and we make Tracy's Parks and community facilities available for general use as well as for rentals.

Shopping and Dining
Looking for shopping and dining adventure? Tracy offers many opportunites to shop and dine. The West Valley Mall, Tracy Outlet Center, and the surrounding regional shopping district provide shoppers with many choices. One of the most popular areas is the City's historic downtown area where shops and restaurants draw in tourists and residents. Located an hour East of San Francisco and an hour South of Sacramento, Tracy is a great place to shop and dine and hosts many stores and restaurants to choose from.

Schools, Health, and Transportation
Tracy boasts two main school districts. The largest of the two and the one that is most recognizable is the Tracy Unified School District. Tracy Unified School District has many elementary and middle schools as well as 5 high schools. The other school district is the Jefferson School District which maintains 4 schools.

Tracy has a full-service 79-bed hospital offering sophisticated technology, primary care and multi-specialty medical groups with over 80 physicians. The comprehensive medical facilites include the, Dialysis Center, Occupational health center, Urgent care center, and two convalescent homes.

There are two Transit Stations in Tracy. One is located downtown and is primarily for bus service, but is being considered as a possible location for California High-Speed Rail. Tracer bus service serves Tracy residents by providing MV Transit (local service). The San Joaquin Regional Transit District (SJRTD) at the ParkNRide by the West Valley Mall, and Greyhound at 15 E Grant Line Rd also provide transportation services for the community.  For your rail needs the Altamont Commuter Express (ACE) station, can assist you with commuter rail service to the San Francisco Bay Area. Tracy Municipal Airport, located just south of the city is available if your choice is by air.
