Tracy, Ca Music In The Park
Elvis is coming to Tracy.
Tribute artist Jeremy "Elvis" Pearce will perform a free show at 7 p.m. July 23 at Lincoln Park at East Street and Eaton Avenue. The concert will close Tracy's Music in the Park series for 2009.
Pearce has been performing his act since he was eight years old and he has appeared at numerous venues throughout the area, the state and the country. In a press release, Pearce described his show as a carefully crafted "Tribute to the King" during which he performs a variety of Elvis' hits, from the '50s favorites to the Las Vegas show-stoppers.
The show is enhanced by elaborate professional jumpsuits made from Elvis' original patterns.
"Again this year, the community has come out in droves to support this program," Tracy Cultural Arts Program Manager Theresa Yvonne said in a press release. "We're delighted to have offered a break in weekly routines and top-notch free entertainment to get the summer off to a great start."
Local families and music fans are welcome to bring a blanket and a picnic dinner to the concert. The annual Music in the Park series is presented by the Tracy Arts Commission every Thursday evening during the months of June and July.
